The only way this makes any sense is if his agent is engaging in talks with Man U in order to keep his value high to other interested clubs. Wouldn't begrudge him going outside of the prem, but he's given it too much of the bigun about NUFC and what it means to him, to now go to a rival.
If we don't get Europe then it could definitely happen…we need to just aim for getting Europe each season to keep the ambition alive and slowing build
Anyone that has watching Bruno play, followed him on social media, or watched his interviews knows the man bleeds black and white. He calls his sons geordies and wants a statue outside the ground.
He knows more than anyone that if he moved to Man Utd, his legacy here would be tarnished. The hostility between the clubs over the last 30 years is too much.
Madrid? Barca? Even City? Fair enough. I wouldn't begrudge him that. But I really don't see the Man Utd move happening. The backlash would be even worse than the Andy Cole saga.
Also, the guy is 28. Careers are short. Even we've won a trophy more recently than Ratcliffe's mob. No guarantee Yanited win anything over the next few years. Showed in the cups this season what bottlejobs they are. Bottled it at our place with 12 v 10 as well.

I don't and i can't believe this. Bruno is an adopted Geordie, his kids are Geordies. He loves the city, fans, club, team mates. He bleeds black and white. Newton Heath? FFS! The only thing that attract players is money, not Champions League, not trophies, just money. We've been through a disaster of a Champions League season because of exactly that reason, our best player left because trophies and Champions League isn't what he wanted.

This was already being talked about on ESPN Brazil a few days ago, even before the Reuters article. Bruno was in the spotlight because of a lunch he had with Ancelotti, so that’s probably where the Real Madrid links are coming from. At first it was said Newcastle contacted his agents about a new deal, but they replied that Bruno will only talk about his future after the World Cup, since he’s fully focused on it (whether he renews or not).
I guess the way we lost to Barça, plus the lack of prospects for Europe next season, just added fuel to it. They also said Newcastle would be willing to facilitate a move to a big European club, but would make it harder if it’s to another English team. So it could be partly to spark Real Madrid’s interest (especially since they could move ahead of Man United), but also a way to push for a better contract.
He gave us some of his best years if he goes we can make some money and hopefully spend it wisely

I hate all this newspaper crap! It really unsettles us all as fans, and it can unsettle the player.

Not just for Bruno but then the Tonali thing and both to Man U ffs.
In my opinion Bruno will go…. nowhere! And Ive always thought Tonali would stay 2 seasons (this season and next).
As you said and we all know Bruno loves Newcastle, hes proud hes the Captain and hes adored here, his kids are Geordies, surely this will count to him.
Maybe get one or 2 seasons from him, (this and next) , then im sure Newcastle fans would forgive him if a Top team came in for him, outside the UK.
Tonali the same next season, then back to Italy, and to be fair he did say he wouldn't be here forever. Again I think the fans would be ok with that as he deserves his dreams.

Lol, the only other PL team of any possible appeal would have been working under Pep at Man City. And that ship sailed. If he was to leave at all it would probably be to Spain
I think that the club does need to probably need to sell 1, maybe 2 of our stars. Bruno, Tonali, Tino & Gordon to invest in squad & rebuild. Last few games may show who really wants to be here. But what we can’t have is another Isak situation, be need to be quick, sort deal & replacement in. Bruno though needs to be careful, if it’s Man Utd he’ll lose all the good work done, fans will turn & won’t forgive.
