🚨 Tottenham Hotspur in pole position to sign Andy Robertson this summer, subject to retaining PL status. 32yo fully focused on #LFC so nothing finalised & also interest from Europe but #THFC lead contender to do deal if relegation avoided (David Ornstein 🥇)

  1. Considering we wanted him prior to RDZ joining the club, it seems fairly safe to say that he won’t be getting the signings HE wants 😂

  2. I’m sure many will complain, but i think this is solid. With the amount of time Udogie is out, having someone experienced there that’s available is much better than a makeshift LB or forcing either a youngster like Souza or a back 3 to be played. And both Udogie and Souza could learn from an experienced player.

  3. Ffs, Lange and Vinai are actively trying to sabotage the club, it’s fucking obvious.

I’m going to the Everton game in May and I’m hoping to hear some serious backlash against those two if they bother turning up.

  4. He made sense as a loanee in the winter as cover but as a summer signing he makes no sense.

We are buying either extremely young players or really old players. Can’t we sign someone in the middle, maybe with more quality and experience?

  6. This was *maaaaaybe* semi justifiable as a mid season crisis aversion thing, but as an actual forethought summer move yep exactly the kind of opportunistic future deadwood signing I have come to expect from this joke club

  7. Where does Souza fit in then? We stay in the Prem and have one game a week for the majority of the season and he has Udogie/Robertson ahead of him, and perhaps even Spence?

I don’t think he will want to play in the championship. He’s still a good player at premier league level

  9. Incredible signing. Brings the leadership and attitude that we need. He’d be top of my list for the summer. Prem proven, British and a winner.

Very pleased to see the club will prioritise Premier League proven players this summer with the Robertson and Trafford rumours

  10. Rather sell Udogie and get in a real LB, with Souza as backup. This was the signing for January. Useless for us now.

We really are being fast tracked to obscurity. No move when we needed him and now we’ll give him Davies position but at triple the wages. Do we self immolate this season or the next?

  12. So someone who we were attempting to buy for Frankball we are now going to give to De Zerbi just because negotiations were already far along? If this is the footballing decision making philosophy we will still have once Lange is gone, why bother trying to fight relegation, we’ll be back here next year.

  13. De Zerbi has taken plenty of older players at Brighton and revitalized their careers. I don’t see an issue with this signing at all.

the only team in the current top six who *might* consider him is Aston Villa. But then again we are a lower table team now so maybe we should

If we’re in pole position for a player chances are we shouldn’t be going for that player.

Are we seriously going down this road again? Lange and Vinai are killing our club on purpose
