I actually started to believe we might get a player back…

Just saw this buried on facebook – normally i wouldn't even use it but needed to check something for work and lo and behold here's the most depressing of updates seeming uploaded yesterday evening.

How do we seem to get rehabilitation so wrong on so many occasions?

The text below is the club statement text from the image in case anyone is using text to speech software:

We can confirm that Mohammed Kudus has suffered a setback in his return from injury.

The Ghana international forward suffered a significant quad injury during our Premier League fixture against Sunderland in January.

He had returned to team training during the past week, however will now require further specialist review and, potentially, surgery.

We will provide any relevant further updates in due course.

We're all with you, Mo

  1. You can call me a miserable sod, but this absolutely stinks of “one eye on the world cup”.

How has it taken them 3 months to figure out he needs surgery? If he had surgery nearer to when he was injured he could be back by now

If only there was some sort of window where we could sign players for when this happens…
