I’m so glad Robbo got this moment in front of the fans. Despite the current mire we find ourselves in, nobody can take this day away from these players and this manager.

Slot may be on the outs but just for this day alone he deserves to be on that banner. I’m so happy that I was able to get this in my lifetime. At this point, the quicker we sack him, the more we preserve the special-ness of this day. Put Slot, the players, and the fans out of this misery.

We had a good thing man!
We just tore apart a team to implement a change, a massive change. Trent wanted more.

Trying to be objective here for once because the emotions this season have been pretty 1st-trimester.
I’m wondering if people follow the NFL here much. When you commit to a rebuild, which is clearly what’s happening here, you need to factor in the window after signing a new quarterback (Wirtz), where the rest of the squad needs time to adapt.
They need to adapt to new tempo, distribution patterns, spacing. In terms of spacing, Eki playing closely off of Wirtz seems to work infinitely better than Eki creating openings from mid-range balls, and having 2 wide wingers just robs them of gametime playing near those positions.
A systemic rebuild around a new main character, not a patch job on an existing one takes longer and costs more, and requires some heavy churn (see Patriots only just good again after Brady, even with a self leveling draft system)
Slot would get far less criticism if he stopped doing odd shit with substitutes and randomly switching up formations/tactics/personel after every loss, or for every “important” game, rather than having initiative and pushing a coherent system and vision.

Maybe I am in the minority here, and that is fine⦠but this day is reserved for the lads.
Yes, Slot was physically on the touchline, but letās not be foolish in assigning Slot undue credit for managing Kloppās team.

Pure joy! Absolute scenes and how lucky we were to have him.
Assist battles with Trent. Hunting down opposition. And a true Red.
His attitude and his hunger was infectious and epitomised what I wanted to see in a Liverpool player.
Oh Andy Andy, Andy Andy Andy Andy Robertson. YNWA ā¤ļø
