Manchester United fans could not be more united by the fact that England defender Harry Maguire has committed his immediate future to the Premier League club.
Harry Maguire put pen to paper on a new Manchester United deal and the Red Devils formally announced the news on Tuesday after the March break.
The 33-year-old former Man Utd captain would have been out of contract in June, but the Red Devils handed Maguire a 12-month extension with the club.
Maguire is now tied down to the Red Devils until 2027, with United having the option to trigger another extension that would keep him at Old Trafford in 2028.

Man Utd fans think that Harry Maguire has a lot more to offer for the club in the 2026-27 Premier League season
Following the news of his new contract, Manchester United fans had their say on Harry Maguire remaining at the Red Devils well beyond the 2026 World Cup.
United In Focus’ TalkingPoints platform had Red Devils supporters throwing their full backing behind the Premier League club keeping hold of the England international.
One Man Utd fan said: “Excellent news. Quality player with a great attitude and a leader of others in the squad, very good and he will be able to move the team forward.”
Another simply added: “Great news and well deserved!”
A third Red Devils supporter echoed: “Great news, but even better is that he can help [Ayden] Heaven and [Leny] Yoro along the way. Well done, Harry!”
Someone else posted: “He has gone through more than most, I can’t remember him moaning once. His experience, his love of the club, he sounds like he’s great behind the scenes, it all adds up.”
“I have always said that we should give Harry a new contract and getting that year, plus a year option is good news for us; he has played great since Carrick has taken over, and also he got himself that England recall as well,” a fifth TalkingPoints user wrote.
Somebody else commented: “Our former captain! It’s a smart move for our captain fantastic; it’s a smart move to the next generation of upcoming stars such as [Leny Yoro].”

Michael Carrick abandoned the contentious tactical system that was at the heart of former Red Devils manager Ruben Amorim’s reign at the Premier League club.
The 44-year-old United legend’s tactical pivot relied on switching back to a four-man defence and the strategic shift benefited England defender Maguire this season.
The proof has been in the pudding, with Maguire starting all 10 Premier League matches in Michael Carrick’s interim head coach reign since January.
Maguire’s run of form at Man Utd in the backline even led to the former Leicester City and Hull City defender climbing back into the England national team.
