• Bayern: 110.9 km
• Real Madrid: 101.9 km
Bayern dominated the top distance charts, with 3 players above 11 km.
Bayern outworked Real Madrid by roughly 9 km over the 90 minutes, which is a significant margin at this level of competition. That difference is essentially equivalent to an extra player’s workload across the match.

I saw an analysis video where Real players were running much less on average than other top teams. And more distance covered correlated with more success/goals
Olise Kane and Diaz were there front 3 and they were helping a lot defensively specially their fullbacks we did the same in city game unlike here . Distance covered by mbappe and vini in 90m is concerning hence we suddenly lost valverde offensive output cause he had to do extra defensive work .
For players who didn’t play 90 min:
10,81 km for Arda
11,91 km for Thiago
9,34 do Dean
This is without extra time and you have to take into consideration that players get tired the more they play
That prouve the match was so intensive
Same amount of possesion btw, this is not good enough
Who runs more wins the game, it’s the story for the last two years, we used to run less, let the ball do the running, and win, that’s not the case anymore.
When the opponent is running that much more than you, in the field it feels like having an extra player, which is exactly how it looked.
Pitarch 11.91
Arda 10.81
