  1. On Wednesday, Martin Ødegaard sat again on the grass during the match against Sporting. It created fear among Norwegian national team supporters.

“It’s like watching a horror movie,” commented TV 2’s expert commentator Jesper Mathisen – who obviously had this summer’s football World Cup in mind.

Ødegaard eventually walked off the pitch and appeared to test his knee, before coming back in. Eventually, he was replaced and Kai Havertz came in.

Now Ståle Solbakken comes with an update.

“He got a small one (bang) where he shouldn’t get it, but I don’t think it’s pitch dark,” says the national team manager during the Football Conference at Ullevaal stadium on Thursday.

  2. We get more updates on Odegaard’s fitness from the Norway camp than we do from our own club.

Is Odegaard or the club feeding the national team manager information and he’s just publicly speaking it out? Feels like he’s talking a bit too much.

I get he’s the captain for Norway etc but why are we getting informed of setbacks from him?

  4. I think the key to the remainder of our season is keeping Havertz fit and getting a relationship with him and Gyok going. That is the only glimmer of hope I’ve seen in our attack recently.

I don’t want Odegaard hurt and he’ll be missed as a squad player but I do think we lose Gyok and Zubi when he plays.

  5. I didn’t catch the moment when he went down against sporting, was it his knee again?

It needs to be Havertz and eze in that role anyway. Time to cut bait on Odegaard

  8. God don’t tell me Odegaard is injured again, he was just getting back to fitness.
