Well Sloty our players could be the same if you haven’t decided to make them walk. We used to be pressing machine ffs.

  2. I hate the press. Arne has rightfully been criticised for his tactics and training methods.

But the relentless moronic questions ‘how likely are you to lose your job’, ‘how important for you is it that you don’t lose’, ‘when’s Alonso taking your job’ is just too much

  3. Why’s everything fucking 20 minutes, 15, minutes, 35 minutes. It should be 90.
He speaks about us like we’re Brighton or everton

Man looks exhausted. I have a feeling he’ll be massively relieved to go. It’s really sad to see how things have unfolded this season, much of it having nothing to do with him. Much of it does, of course, but I don’t really understand the vicious glee some have in trying to prove themselves right that he’s been kept on too long.

He won us the prize we all wanted most, he handled the death of Jota with grace, and by most accounts he’s a decent fellow. I don’t wish any ill on him, but I also hope this isn’t dragged out until it gets ugly. If they go out against PSG, they really need to make a change for both his and the club’s sake. Losing to Everton and ManU could make things so toxic that it could permanently damage the relationship between the fans and some of these players (see what’s happened to Szoboszlai since City), and that would be disastrous.

He certainly hasn’t helped himself by saying what he says in interviews, and his lack of connection to, or understanding of, the city has probably been his biggest downfall. But he’s also come in under the shadow of Klopp and carved his own path. For the next guy’s sake, I hope the supporters can move on from Klopp or we risk becoming like Dortmund, forever pining for another Klopp but never quite finding them. He is one of one, there are no others, so the club needs to find a new solution.Though I hope at least the new guy can understand and harness the energy of the city in a way that helps, not hinders….

  5. It’s funny (well not really) that coming into the season, if he had said something like this, most people would chalk it up to his dry and quirky Dutch humor. The longer the season goes, comments like this one now have us wondering if he is punching above his weight class. The season is almost over and he still hasn’t formulated a plan that is consistent. He got players that, if put in the right system, would have given us a up tempo, dynamic and creative offense (even with Salah not firing on all cylinders this season). Now we’re listening to a guy who praises PSG so much, you would think he wants to be on their coaching staff. 🙄

While the team should be having a strong mentality to win, but they’re feeling more down than upbeat.

This is how it will all turn out:

    1) We fall out of UCL
    2) 6th in EPL
    3) Slot continues next season
    4) Alonso goes on to manage another club

  8. We used to be like that as well mate, either get rid of the useless players or do some frigging training

Last night Bayern ran 8km more than Real. Arsenal ran 5 or 6km more than Sporting despite having all the ball. We are unfit.

  10. They’re like a washing machine , running everywhere . And we are like a washing machine too under slot , stuck on repeat wash and getting rinsed every week !!

  11. “They’re like a sportswashing machine, even more than Man City”

    Arne Slot, Guardian columnist

  12. When Slot is let go at the end of the season, I fully expect him to be an assistant at PSG next season.
