Kowtowing to the powerful: an increasingly acrimonious power struggle in French football
Paris Saint-Germain asking for a fixture to be moved shouldn’t be controversial – but it lays bare the acrimonious power struggle at the heart of Ligue 1
Who would’ve thought that letting a foreign country with unlimited money use a club for soft power would backfire ?
French media, which is mostly based in Paris, has spent years gaslighted the public that it would benefit the league as a whole by some trickle down logic. Now it turns out handing out control to a foreign country has some downsides.

Good one the French for giving PSG a hand towards winning the Champions league. I was always puzzled that the English teams were made to play on Sunday instead of Saturday when they had a Champions league fixture when the Spanish teams always made sure their teams had enough rest before their Champions league matches.
