And Pigott has played a pivotal role for Jay Saunders’ side, who have been promoted to the National League South for the first time in their history.

He has scored 17 goals in 33 games for the Seasiders in all competitions so far as they lifted the seventh tier title with four games left to play.

The well-travelled frontman never really established himself at Portman Road, having joined Town in the β€˜Demolition Man’ summer of Paul Cook, one of 19 new signings who arrived in Suffolk in 2021.Β 

Pigott went on to make just 29 appearances for Town, scoring three goals, before spending the 2022/23 season on loan at Portsmouth and departing the Blues in the summer of 2023.
