Aaron Jones, 22, and of Stirling Way in Christchurch, appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court for a first hearing on March 20.
The court heard that Jones assaulted a man outside Bar So in Exeter Road, Bournemouth on Christmas Eve, 2023.
Jones pleaded guilty to one count of assault of a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm.
The defendant, Jones, was handed a six-month community order banning him from any bar, nightclub or public house in England and Wales until September 19.
He was further ordered to completed 150 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months and to pay £1,000 in compensation to the victim.
