I always said he should have been given chances over McFred at the time.

Was tough to see him go a few years ago. Could tell he had the vision and passing ability but seems like he’s gotten even better.

He needed to leave and go play. Was never nailed on that he’d become this version/reach his full potential. Crazy that they didn’t include a buy back, though. Absolute muppets ran this club for so long.

He’s had a terrific season. Watching him at Everton reminds you just how easily games can be won and lost in the center of the pitch, and how many times we’ve lost control of said games because of our lack of depth in those positions. Really need to prioritize it in the summer over everything else imo.
