Probs off-topic, and perhaps any Brazilians or Argentinians can correct me, but I’m recently back from Brasil and the venom in that rivalry seemed a little overblown. There were loads of Argentinians happily on holiday and a surprising (to me anyway) number of younger Brazilians wearing Messi’s Argentina shirt. From that admittedly small sample size, it seemed like more of a healthy sporting rivalry than anything laden with genuine animosity…
