waited 20 minutes in the virtual waiting room and finally got in, set the venue to Sofi in LA and the only game they had tickets available was usa vs paraguay, $2,750 per ticket. I immediately exited the tab
Whole situation is fucked. Ticket reselling should be banned make the tickets non transferable. If you cant make the event the tickets can be resilisted on the sight you brought them at the same price and you get your money back.
Also football tickets should just not be that expensive in general.

These are just “asking prices.” Is there evidence that someone really paid this much? Anyone can post their tickets on the marketplace for a speculative price or for just in case someone buys them.

Those are just the asking price, this is someone who is trying to hit the jackpot on a ticket. Eventually the will go down the closer we get to the actual event day. Of course they will not be cheap but nowhere near this asking prices.
I don’t know where these ticket prices are. I was selected via the Fifa lottery and still had to pay $500 per seat for Brasil v Morocco.

“resale facilitation fee” seems to be a percentage whereas it should be a flat fee (since it’s all digital). And that’s about the least egregious thing about this whole mess. Several layers of FIFA management approved this, and all should be in jail.

I was lucky (?) enough to get a face value ticket for the Haiti game, for the longest time it’s actual seat location was hidden (obviously waiting for this last round of sales), well today I discovered it’s in the second to last row if the upper deck.
