  1. Quite a good performance from the skipper, especially being his first back from injury. Unfortunately the failed backheel and scuffed finish has clouded that in many people’s eyes.

  2. NOPE HE PLAYED LIKE SHIT BECAUSE THE AGENDA SAID SO AND I CANT CONTROL MY EMOTIONS SO I NEED A SCAPEGOAT

Disingenuous as fuck to leave out all the misplaced passes and the mistake that led to their goal.. no wonder there’s always a cult like protection around this guy

  4. It was a good performance from him with one mistake. I think with Odegaard back our attack will start flowing a lot more – we saw some good moves in that match, but unfortunately the mistakes let us down

Odegard was dreadful. Show this misplaced flick to Dowman that lead to their first goal. Or him booting the ball into outer space on a golden opportunity to put us up 1-0

Game time for havertz and odegard could really save our attack if they can sharpen up quickly enough. Pure hopium

Where’s that stupid flick he had that gave them a good rush and scored?

  8. People bring up the back heel for there first goal. But it’s in the opponents corner, that’s where you can try things. Can’t moan players are just horseshoe passing and also moan about the back heel. I think ode is used to Saka running into the box where he put it. Dowman just didn’t know to make that play.

Why does this exclude the failed backheel to Max Dowman?

Im positive about Odegaard’s performance yesterday. Hes been getting a lot of shit for his performances this season, as well as for going sideways and not being creative, and I think this video debunks some of that.

But I also think its somewhat misleading not to include every moment he had on the ball and not just the positives.

  10. Looked good. Hopeful he can keep this form for the rest of the season and we put much better talent around him than we did here

Am I the only one who thinks Arsenal need to move on from Odegaard?

In critical games, he becomes invisible on the pitch and shy’s away from the moment. Our captain and creative engine becomes merely a passanger. He doesn’t score goals either.

Also, when was the last time he played 4-5 games in a row? Since that ankle injury with Norway last season, he’s been unavailable more than he’s been available.

Might as well make a profit on him while we can and bring in a real X-factor player.

People crying about the lack of creativity, then they want to crucify him for the failed back heel attempt. If we are to be more unpredictable, it won’t come off 100% of the time.

  13. When did our discourse around the captain become so unhinged? Odegaard lives and breathes arsenal. He represents the club with the honor it deserves. I can understands his injuries have been frustrating but come on with some of the takes on this thread/online

All due respect it is southampton, odegaard needs to wake up cos the past 2 seasons have been below par, we need 22-24 odegaard back the one who could finish and actually create consistently

The Captain looks as healthy as he has all season. Just in time for the run in.

Honestly, he tried. If he didnt scuff that cutback and if we had Gyokeres/Havertz starting up front, it would have been a different narrative.
