It’s not fair. City played small teams like Liverpool.

Last time I heard “it feels like our year in the cup” from a team they lost and gave spurs their first trophy in 20 years

People will play off our win at the weekend because ‘it was only Port Vale’.
Yeah, we were heavy heavy favourites; and it is a game that we should win comfortably. But 7 nil is ridiculous, especially for a quarter final. Genuinely don’t know how many wins of that size there’s been at this stage of the FA cup?
For reference, Port Vale knocked out Sunderland in the last round; and arsenal only managed to scrape a 2:1 lucky win against Mansfield (also league one). 7 nil is incredibly impressive. Hopefully it can lead to something positive!

Top 5 and FA Cup win and I’ll be happy. That should be bare minimum

I wish I had your optimism OP. These stats say more about our draw than how we looked relative to the rest. And yet, City are somehow still very close to us while drawing the likes of Newcastle and Liverpool instead of Charlton and Port Vale.

What a meaningless page of stats.

The same team that took 120mins to break Wrexham. We are a joke. Let’s not pull fluff over our eyes

Most Clean Sheets: Port Vale
Everything Else: Chelsea

Our Wembley record in the finals has been shocking for nearly 10 years now so I’m not overly optimistic, but at the same time it surely has to end at some point. But we got to get there first of course, we failed to beat Leeds twice already even if the 2nd game was about as big of a fluke as you’ll ever see in football, they did nothing all game only to be gifted 2 goals by us. And we failed to convert on so many chances, including the Palmer one at the end which was probably the easiest chance of his career.
