He lost me there, he keeps saying that like it matters. The thing I loved about him in the beginning was his brutal honesty, we knew exactly where we were with him and the players. Now he’s feeding us this BS “What amazing things they’ve done in the last 9 months”, like what? Bottling a final? Losing against Southampton? They haven’t won anything yet we’re supposed to treat them like special babies.
I’m tired of it, when they bottle the league and we win nothing for another year, I want him and these players gone.

Try to restrain myself from posting just after a match BUT tonight was just a mess in terms of organisation there should be 0 excuses if we’re supposed to be the team we are, esp after watching how clinical City were earlier today – they looked surgical.
Tonight we appeared like a bunch of players that didn’t know how to connect with one another.
Kepa – done with him now tbh, I think Raya organises the back line and potentially saves at least one of those goals tonight, plus his distribution is sorely missed.
Defense was woeful.
Midfield was so sloppy and let so many 2nd balls and duels go.
Attack – tbf keeper had a good game but Jesus offered nothing and it’s a shame Kai’s load meant he couldn’t play more mins as he and Gyok click very well and could have been the path back.
Disappointed in the tracking back for defence especially from lil Gabi as he’s normally steadfast even if not productive.
Will catch strays and downvotes I’m sure for this but as great as it was to see Max play for so long you can tell his mind is only forward thinking at the moment, he was jogging back for defending and given the shit chemistry at the back we needed bodies – Eze didn’t get games after not tracking Matty Cash. Not to single out Max but it was tough to see them constantly getting joy down his side and not getting closed down and yes he’s talented but when we’re up against it, cute back heels to players where there’s no chemistry is a no-no, he was great today going forward (mostly) but also feel he got his first taste of what it’s like to not coast through games on easy mode as he’s done through the academy.
Liked the fire Gyok, Cala, Max and Martinelli showed at the end but too little too late. Way too slow in getting the ball up the field, shouting at the tv to just fucking lump it forward and get it in the mixer, way too slow in buildup.
Good to see Kai and Øde back but most players were anonymous for the first 45, Kai woke up 2nd half. I expected Myles to do way better after U21 performance but disappointed tonight. Noni was useless for his appearance, every touch too heavy.
One thing I did realise I missed was Bens ability to make those classic fullback field switch balls over to lil Gabi, only happened once but we’ve missed those and would like to see more as it’s an easy way to get behind the block and cut-back.
Not even fucked off we’re out the competition but more so we were embarrassed and shown up by the basics.
Felt like a ‘but can they do it on a rainy night in stoke’ game and the answer was no; embarrassing.
Mikel hopefully rinsed them all.
