Kudus has been injured since January… Despite that, he is still the fourth player with the most successful dribbles in the Premier League this season, just 11 dribbles behind the leader, Doku. And that’s while being absent for three months. A player with world-class ability — we’ve really missed

People have really been down talking him since he’s been out, it’s weird

Needs to be used more effectively. A lot of his dribbles were going past the same player in the same action.

Big miss for us but he needs an elite final ball or finishing ability paired with his skills to be world class

    Literally carried us under frank.

We sold Johnson and Kudus got injured, both early Jan.

Lange proceeds to sign Gallagher, a LB from Brazil and ANOTHER LB in Andrew Robertson who is finished.

People were constantly complaining he wasn’t doing enough, but he was the only way we actually progressed the ball under frank, and we haven’t won a league game since he got injured.

  6. Will be interesting to see how De Zerbi uses him. De Zerbi kept emphasizing 1 and 2 touch passing in the training video.

  7. It also seems like our entire offense under Frank was to kick the ball long to kudus and have him hold it up and dribble someone to hold it up again.

He definitely has skill. I think franks nonsense system inflated this stat.

All that to say we have missed him very much.

I mean he is a world class dribbler im not sure why people are so against saying that

  9. The Frank “era” at least did one thing well: Getting a genuinely skilled game breaking winger and shipping out Brennan Johnson for a ridiculously high fee

Frank was totally reliant on Kidus to progress the ball and I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the wheels totally came off after he got injured.

I love Brennan Johnson for what he did last season, but Kudus was clearly a noticeable improvement on BJ’s obvious weakness from the get go.

It was really refreshing to see how dangerous he can be on the right, and going he makes an immediate impact when he steps on the pitch again.

Its still crazy to say we haven’t won a pre.ier league game since he got injured.

An incredible footballer, elite 1 v 1 dribbler who we’ve missed.

Carried us on his back before his injury. Can’t imagine the shit we’d have been in without him. We’ve not won a single league game since he’s been out.

Can’t wait to have him back.

We’ve missed him a lot. Hope he is back in the squad for the Sunderland game.

Completely forget some of the names this club has currently employed.. kudus?? Kulusevski? Maddison?? Fucking hell man we could be top half AT LEAST

That’s crazy! Feel like this shows that a lot wingers don’t dribble anymore and instead are coached to pass back. I like the ballers who take risks. Yes, it sucks when they don’t beat their man, but when they dribble and beat the defender… 🤌

  17. Damn its a shame dribbles don’t actually mean anything on their own, despite what Lange thinks, otherwise he would actually be world class.

Dribbles leading to the touchline where Kudus then has no end product is not that useful.

52 dribbles and how much GA?

He’s had, what, 5 assists? And 2 of those came from dodgy crosses in the first game.

Not trying to rag on him, but this idea that when he comes back we’ll suddenly have this incredible world class attack is just nonsense. He was exactly the same for West Ham. I’m hoping RDZ can find a new level for him, because his current one is bottom half PL, not world class.

He barely did crap with most of them. Kept the ball glued to his feet until it was too late. Incredible ability for sure but very indecisive until it’s too late as well. Hopefully he works on this

I know it seems a world away right now, but if we stay up we should be pushing to sign Ndiaye in the summer.

  21. Frank-ball devolved to passing it to Kudus over and over again. Of course he declined once every team in the league learned you could put 2 defenders on him and we wouldn’t even try to adapt to exploit gaps elsewhere. Not to even mention how we ran him ragged
