  1. It would be stupid to punish senior player like Rodri who gave so much to Manchester City winning trophies and won club’s first Ballon D’or. You lot are thick asf

I think a major difference is that Pep has nearly all the power over these things at Man City whereas Rosenior is just a Clearlake shill. Rosenior probably isn’t keen losing one of his best players for a big run in against City because of Enzo saying he likes Madrid in some interview. But Egghead and the Sporting Directors can’t have their asset making them look bad.

  3. It feels like we’re on the back half of these players realizing why those long-term contracts were such a bad idea.

I don’t mind a player wanting to move. However, Sterling for Madrid puts Chelsea in a bad position. How do you gently expect them to react?

If you want to go to Madrid so bad, do what Neymar did and show up with the money to trigger your release clause.

  5. The difference is, if Pep stays at City he can get any player in the world. Guess even Madrid or Barca players would love the idea of playing under him. And Pep and old José are the only two managers in world football who has that clout.

Oh and one more thing, listen to what he says about Madrid. This is a Barcelona legend, who battered Real left right and center when he was at Barca. Would Barcelona be hating on him now? Man clearly said Madrid is bigger.

I think the wry smile from Pep is based on a word class player like Rodri being in the same conversation as Enzo “give the ball away” Fernandez.

I mean Rodri has done a lot more for City than Enzo has for us so it’s not exactly surprising is it. It’s the same way we didn’t really care about Hazard’s comments. He was THE team. Can’t say the same for Enzo.

  8. City have a clear policy of “you wanna go, don’t let the door hit you on the way out” in a way Clearlake don’t. That’s the difference.

  9. If Enzo was a Ballon dor winner and treble winner who spent 7 years at his club I’d let him say whatever the fuck he wants.

The difference is city has no fans that are outraged that would fuck up vibes around the team

  11. Pep is a gentleman. Liam is a puppet man with Egbali’s hand up his ass. And only one is a good, respectable manager

  12. Think-Gur-9785 on

Pep is Pep, Liam is Liam. If Liam said the same thing we’d be talking about how weak he is

  13. He didn’t just say Madrid is a nice city though. There’s a bunch of other shit he’s said, that clearly entailed he wanted to leave for Madrid. It’s okay to want that, but not by making public statements about it.

  14. I mean… i think a major difference is Rodri is aging out of the squad, his contract is running down, and has been vocal about sending his last chapter in Spain. Enzo is 5 years younger, has six more years on his current contract, and is a squad captain.

    These situations aren’t comparable.

The BlueCo bots are malfunctioning in the comments. Listen to this 46 second clip as many times as you like, it’s not changing. This is how a winning organization & a winning manager handle business. Enzo barely said anything at all except it’s a beautiful city, if he played for Pep he’d be suiting up today because Pep isn’t a fucking idiot. I’m actually beginning to hate this club, it’s become an absolute joke. Every star player will leave, Moi included, as long as these dunces are in charge.

  16. TheReal-Demo on

The difference is if someone says one day they want to play for Real Madrid you dont get mad because to be fair Madrid is the biggest club, but the the issue is Enzo never said he wants to play for Real Madrid and you punish him for that, just silly it shows we are running a circus so sad

  17. Our fans are so insufferable. Making something out of a manager bowing out after this season to one where the stupid board wants to keep around.

  18. I know the reporter said that they were stronger comments, is that even true?

  19. Contractually they’re in very different circumstances. Enzo’s supposed to be committed to us for several more years.

Also not a great look when your team is shitting the bed and you’re out there practically begging Madrid to pick you up

Im not a big fan of pep nor city, but one thing that i respect the most about him is he always stands by his principle of “if u wants out, then fuck off” hahaha.
