Thereās an argument to be made that heās our most important signing since the takeover, and probably a lot longer.

Will never forget the buzz when he joined us from atletico. Genuinely transformational for the club in terms of his professionalism and the types of other players who were then able to join the projectĀ
An amazing captain and we will never forget

Trippier the footballer is pretty done i think, but the bloke i wish could stay for 100 years – a calming force & natural leader

Will rightly go down as a club legend. Absolute catalyst signing which has given us some of the best years weāve ever had. Standard setter and a cracking player, heāll be missed.

Legend is used a lot these days.
Describes him perfectly

Heāll be remembered as a club legend. He was the first to sign on to our new project, and he dragged our team kicking and screaming while we rebuilt. Even at our lowest points during this new era heās always been there, probably more than he should have been given his age.
Thanks for everything, Tripps. We wouldnāt have experienced the highs of silverware and Europe without him.

This may sound hyperbolic, but to me he is the greatest signing this football club made in the modern era.
This may sound even more hyperbolic, but 22/23 Trippier is the best Newcastle player Iāve had the pleasure of watching live, in my 16 years as an ST holder. He was perfect, and made others around him so much better. Thank you Tripsā«ļøāŖļø

Heāll be leaving a big hole in the leadership within the group. Best of luck to him and his family.

I hope he finds a coaching role at the club.

First couple of seasons here were so class, weāve been missing that level of crossing and set piece delivery from the squad since.
Worrying thing is thereās a good chance that we will have to replace 2 right backs this summer

He set the standard when he arrived. Absolute legend

What an unbelievable player he was.
Probably the second most meaningful signing after Shearer. And in hindsight, I don’t know how we pulled it off.
That first 18 months I genuinely believe he was the best RB in the world.

Are we looking at a total rebuild at RB in the summer then or do you think the club are confident of keeping Livramento? I was personally hoping Trippier would sign a player/coach type contract where he would transition to coach over the next year or two

Club legend for dragging us out of the relegation zone. He must have thought we were a mess when he first joined and we lost to Cambridge but heās right to be buzzing at how itās all turned out.

Thatās a legacy for you.
Wish you all the best Trips. You made me feel proud of my club again.

Never woulda guessed that a 30 year old former spurs player would go on to be a club legend after signing on the cheap, but here we are.
I remember talking to my mate in that first champions league run and both of us were saying you could just see on the pitch that he was a class above in everything he did

Wonderful signing, what he’s achieved for us was incredible. Sad to see him go, wish you turn the clock back.

It’s the right call.
He was hugely influential and the first proper marquee signing we’d had for a long time.
Head and shoulders above any player we had at the time.
Came off the boil a bit but recouped a bit of that form we saw from him initially this season.
A true captain in every sense of the word.

transformative signing. The impact on and off the pitch will always keep him held in the highest regard at the toon.
Iād love to see him get a big contract overseas and continues to play football until heās ready to retire.

A legend without a doubt. I remember it like yesterday, our game suddenly went to another level when he started playing for us. Everyone played better, and we avoided relegation.

Club legend now simple as really, first to buy into the project, captain and true leader and cup winner!
Will be missed, thank you Tripps for starting the new era! An era with hope and dreams of being a club that can challenge for honours!
