Bournemouth Police has said they are working alongside BCP Council’s Anti-Social Behaviour and Housing Officers to tackle antisocial behaviour and housing-related issues across local communities.
The joint approach brings together local policing and council officers to reduce incidents of antisocial behaviour, ease tensions between neighbours, and improve communication between agencies and residents.
A spokesperson said: “Through combined efforts they aim to reduce antisocial incidents and alleviate tensions between neighbours ensuring safer, more stable communities.
“This partnership leads to improved communication and a more supportive environment for residents. ”
As part of this ongoing work, closure orders on leases are being used to tackle persistent antisocial behaviour linked to specific properties.
One such order has now been issued in the West Howe area of Bournemouth, with support from the Bournemouth North neighbourhood policing team.
Authorities have said that if the terms and conditions of the order are not complied with, tenants risk ultimately losing their property.
