To be fair, that one game Freddie Woodman started in would probably have still been a loss if we’d had Courtois, Neuer and Alisson all in goal at the same time.

Ali is at a level where he ultimately wins games for us. That’s extremely rare. Mama is great but we won’t be seeing another keeper as good as Alisson
Brother/sister, we are 5th in league, up against City in FA Cup, PSG in CL in the middle of a horror season. Alisson or not, we are screwed and require miracles to make something of this season. Might as well see what our 30M future goalkeeper is made of in the next two months.
This makes me really miss Kelleher😞 I understand why he chose to leave, as he deserves to be a starter, but still. Hope our backups can slowly grow into the role the way he did

Marmar has not shown his quality as of yet. Although, we have sucked this season, I won’t be too harsh on him.
I think Mamardashvili is a good shot stopper but he’s terrible with his feet unless he’s kicking long (Allison hasn’t been much better this season). I’m worried we are going into next season with Mama, Woodman and Pecsi.
Its interesting that we have title-challenger form with Alisson in the team. The eye test certainly did not support this at all.
Mamardashvili – 12 games with the CBs is not enough, mate.
Allisson had nearly 8 years playing with VVD at centre back for example.

Either they have not seen the games, so let me tell everyone that Mama was not individually at fault for any of the games we lost, not were they games that Ali could have won us single handedly.

Some fans saying to get rid of Alisson but I don’t see why he can’t just be our #2 going forward.
Realistically who else are we going to get, we’re so used to seeing Alisson be a freak of nature in goal that we expect the greatest for anyone who comes in for him.
Van Der Sar, Cech, Neuer, Casillas had long careers, I’m sure Alisson having the Kelleher role for the future won’t be too bad.

I recall Alisson making absolute horror mistakes when he made his debut season
And he had prime VvD, Joe Gomez and Matip in front of him

Probably get downvoted for it but don’t think people appreciate how important a keeper is. Alisson is one of the best around and I’m not sold on Mama. Don’t really care about his kicking, I care about some of the goals I’ve seen him concede and the fact he doesn’t seem to be a dominant presence.
Mama has just had bad luck he’s been in goal during some of our worst periods this season

You cannot compare these games as most back up goalies play with a back up team in minor cups.

The Mamardashvili signing confused me. He has been incredibly sub-par for Valencia for quite a while before joining us.
