Lighthouse Poole will welcome the Royal Shakespeare Company’s latest production of W Somerset Maugham’s The Constant Wife from Monday, April 27, to Saturday, May 2.
This “sparkling” new version is adapted by Olivier Award-winning writer Laura Wade and directed by Tamara Harvey, co-artistic director of the RSC.

It stars Strictly Come Dancing winner Kara Tointon of EastEnders and Mr Selfridge fame.
Set in 1927, the sharp-witted play follows Constance, a woman juggling the roles of wife and mother while quietly tolerating her husband’s affair with her best friend.
The production arrives in Poole after opening to critical acclaim at the Swan Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon.
It continues a strong season of theatre at Lighthouse, which has already hosted The Shawshank Redemption, The Woman In Black, The Talented Mr. Ripley, and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged).
The programme will continue this autumn with major titles such as Heathers the Musical, Present Laughter, Little Shop of Horrors, and The Mousetrap.
Tickets for all shows are available at Lighthouse Poole’s website or by calling the box office on 01202 280000.
