The iconic landmark located on the Jurassic Coast was featured in the finale of the blockbuster which was released in the UK on March 20.
Filming at the Dorset location first attracted public attention in October 2024 when Gosling was spotted shooting scenes along the beach at the famous coastal landmark.

The production caused a stir at the time as Lulworth Estate temporarily closed access to the beach and car park for several days.
According to Echo reporting at the time, Lulworth Estate posted on its Facebook page that Durdle Door Beach, Man O War Beach and Durdle Door Car Park would be closed on October 11, 12 and 15.
Local content creator and influencer Scarlet Martin, from Ringwood, stumbled upon the filming during a visit there in 2024.

She said: “The car park was closed, and I was told I could park at Lulworth and walk through.
“When I reached Durdle Door, I could see them filming and there was Ryan Gosling acting out a scene.
“I could clearly see that it was Ryan Gosling; he was wearing white chinos and, by the looks of it, a chunky knit cardigan.
“It was quite funny because I was walking down the big hill afterwards, and there were people huffing and puffing.
“I said to them, if it makes it any better, Ryan Gosling is at the other side.”
Ms Martins TikTok video of the encounter has now surpassed 27,000 views.

Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the film is based on the book by Andy Weir, who also wrote ‘The Martian’ which was later adapted into a Ridley Scott film starring Matt Damon.
Project Hail Mary follows Ryland Grace, played by Gosling, a scientist who wakes up alone on a spacecraft with the mission to save humanity.
Since its release the film has received praise from critics for its emotional depth, ambitious scope and realistic depiction of space exploration.
The world premiere for Project Hail Mary took place at London’s Cineworld in Leicester Square on March 9, 2026.
For Dorset, the film adds to its cinematic history, with Durdle Door and the nearby Lulworth Cove previously appearing in major productions, including Doctor Who, Nanny McPhee, World War Z, and Far from the Madding Crowd.
