Tottenham Hotspur could target Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen in the summer transfer window if they survive the relegation battle, according to talkSPORT.
Roberto De Zerbi’s appointment as manager could boost their chances of signing Verbruggen.
The Netherlands international played under him when he was with the Seagulls. A reunion could now be on the cards, but the Lilywhites have to keep their Premier League status.
They are currently 17th in the Premier League table, a point and a place above the relegation zone, and De Zerbi has seven games to keep them up.
They could be in the bottom three before their next game against Sunderland, with West Ham United playing Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday.
Tottenham take on Brighton, Wolves, Aston Villa, Leeds United, Chelsea and Everton after their game on Sunday and will need to be in fine form to win most of those games.
Spurs need most of their players to step up, but a summer overhaul is expected no matter what happens at the end of the season.
Tottenham goalkeepers Guglielmo Vicario and Antonin Kinsky are likely to move on this summer, and Verbruggen could be a perfect option to replace them.
The Dutchman has established himself as one of the best in his position in the Premier League since joining Brighton from Anderlecht in 2023.
Joining Spurs if they stay up could appeal to him.
