The manager has asked for frustrations to be parked while City compete for Championship survival, with seven games remaining to save themselves from the drop to League One

Frustrations with the running of Leicester City should be put to one side in order to help the club stave off relegation, manager Gary Rowett has said.
City supporters’ anger at the organisation at the top of the club has reached new levels this season, with protests outside the ground at two of three past three home matches.
While Rowett repeated his previous message, calling for fans to get behind the players, ahead of another potential protest on Good Friday against Preston, the boss has asked supporters to set aside their grievances to help keep the club up.
The protests have not affected the atmosphere inside the ground, with Rowett’s arrival as manager perhaps raising the volume levels in some instances.

But Rowett feels that the frustration is evident in moments, and hopes that can be parked while the club are fighting against the drop.
Asked what he wanted from fans amid a potential protest, Rowett said: “We’ve had three home games and two of which there have been protests at. I don’t necessarily think that’s affected the atmosphere in the stadium.
“At times, you can feel tangibly that there is a little bit of an atmosphere (frustration). I understand we have to try to change that.
“I would reiterate what I said on the first day in the building, that we need everyone together. That is going to define a lot of how our season finishes.
“If you’re a supporter of this football club and have been for a long time, you want to feel some sort of success at the end of a season. The only way we do that is together.
“I’d definitely ask fans to get behind us. I can understand that fans have frustrations. But I’d say, where you can, put that to one side and please get behind the team. It makes a massive difference. You speak to the players, it makes a massive difference.
“At the same time, we understand to give them a performance to get behind. If I can say one thing, I would say please put your issues to one side if you can and get behind the team because it makes a difference.”
City’s clash with Preston is one of four games they have remaining at the King Power Stadium. Their record so far ranks as the 20th best in the league, with 25 points from 19 games.
