  1. What a career always gave his all and stayed classy. Wishing him nothing but success in whatever comes next

  2. Great servant. Was never elite level but was steady for the most part and worked his ass off for the team. Didn’t grumble when Karius went in ahead of him for a time or when Alisson signed. Proper pro.

Brilliant shot stopper, but felt his decision making and commanding of
his area was poor at times, but overall he was decent for us.

When i was a kid i used to think he was the best keeper in the world. Was a good keeper tbf and one of my favourite all the best for retirement

When ali came in, he stepped aside and let it be. What an amazing 2nd goalkeeper. Should have won the league with us in 2014z Wish him all the best.

He liked my Instagram post once years ago on a fan account I made wishing him happy birthday. What a fella.

  7. Quite the career he had after leaving us.

4 league titles, a cup and won POTY in Belgium.

Still feel like his dropping for Karius was harsh at the time. He was no Ali and I’m fine with how it turned out but that season Karius made just as many errors and wasn’t an upgrade. We’d have won the CL with Simon.

Damn it’s been like 13 years since we signed him… time is going too fast…

Big deal, he only ever scored 1 goal in his entire career!

    Seriously though, happy retirement Simon!

Nice guy, but so shit. When Klopp replaced him and Moreno I knew we were destined to win something

  12. Sorry to hear that. Despite him not being the keeper we needed, Mignolet was alright and a solid professional. Seemed to have an Indian Summer too with Brugge, and was pretty good with them in the CL. Enjoy your retirement Simon.
