A shop worker has been taken to hospital after an alleged assault at a petrol station in Bournemouth.

Dorset Police say the incident happened at the Asda Express on Charminster Road last night when two suspects entered the store before staff asked them to leave the premises.

Officers say the pair are believed to have taken items including vapes and chocolate before the situation escalated and the incident became violent inside the shop.

Police have confirmed that enquiries are continuing and no arrests have been made.
