I always liked Abde, I do not believe he was ready back then under Xavi but he has definitely matured a bit more at Betis, Could be interesting to see if Flick can bring out some more out of him.
As a cheaper backup for Raphinha its a good choice. Same with Hector Fort as a Kounde backup.
Honestly would rather have him back than Rashford. Abde is younger and would be cheaper. Rashford is not very good at pressing even when he does press and his runs don’t always suit our playstyle. I feel like Abde would adapt better to Flick’s style.
Folks. His numbers don’t really matter that much cause he’s been a starter at Betis.
When you’re a bench player getting subbed in only every now and then and not playing every game, the numbers aren’t going to necessarily be replicable.
