This game epitomises that season to me, the pure brilliance of Payet, and to a lesser extent Lanzini, great defensive moments at times from certain individuals and terrible ones from others, a red card that should’ve never been (and was rescinded alongside three others that season).
Manu did love a goal against Palace.

It’s ridiculous that Payet didn’t have a more exceptional career. He was phenomenal in the Premier League for 18 months and then disappeared off the face of the earth.
