Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner has spoken on his comments against the board earlier this season.

Earlier this season, Glasner admits that he felt his side had been “abandoned completely” after captain Marc Guehi was set to leave for Manchester City just days before their defeat to Sunderland

His outburst against the board came after a FA Cup exit to non-league Macclesfield, during a winless run where Glasner grew frustrated at how the team were being run.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Glasner revealed that he holds zero regrets over such comments which landed him in hot water.

“I don’t have regrets, honestly. I’m very honest. I never tell somebody what he wants to hear, I always tell them what is my opinion, what is my feeling. It doesn’t mean that it’s always right.

“But I think everybody deserves to hear how I’m feeling, how I see some things that happened or that’s going on.

“Not everybody has to be delighted with my opinion, to be honest.”

When asked how the board reacted during internal meetings, Glasner admitted that they were not happy but he had to let his thoughts be heard.

“Honestly, I think they were not really pleased. But we talked about it and they could understand me. I think the players, especially.

“For me, the most important part is always the players and they know me. They know that I’m honest and they could deal with it.”

With Glasner already having confirmed that he will leave when his contract expires this summer, Palace will not only have lost their captain but also the manager that led them to the FA Cup last season.
