  1. I think it has to be mental. Because most of the time it is healthy. I’m hoping this international break could help. I don’t think it has anything to do with hobbies but I could be very wrong

  2. Maybe foden has lost his love of football and has just played too many games. This is a lad that won everything before reaching his mid 20s. And he has been playing competitive, high level football continuously since he was a nipper. He is probably burnt out.

On top of this, he no longer has the likes of kdb and gunders around him. These players brought more out of Foden than the current crop of doku, semenyo, savinho, marmoush etc. They are less suited to the short passing, one touch, give and go football that foden was schooled in under Pep 1.0.

Cherki will hopefully bring out some of the old Phil and a couple more top midfield signings will hopefully refresh his game.

  3. PWF needs around 5 to 7kg of increased muscle mass to increase his tenacity, guile, mischief… ala both Silvas, KDB and others… Superbia In Proelia in games… Play to the arena again… He's a baller but needs to model men of his stature and learn their fight with endeavour, strength and wit to track back and tackle with more might… 💪🏻👊🏻

  4. Foden's rise and fall has followed Haaland's rise and fall. You need to look at how the team has changed playing over the last couple of years. The team has become too slow and too conservative with their ball movement.

  5. Phil Foden's issue seems to be mental. He doesn't look like he is playing with the freedom and child like love for the game. Look at Cherki for an example. He plays with that freedom. Phil's playing like he scared to play and over thinking. He needs to just relax and play with the freedom he used to. He's not going anywhere, we love Phil and he'll be back 100%.

  6. Foden is a blue, always will be a blue, he bleeds blue blood, he’s a human being not a robot and like all human beings has ups and downs. He’ll be back to his best , maybe a lack of confidence, who knows, but given time he’ll return. Always remember there is no greater feeling than to play for your boyhood club no matter who they are.

  7. Whatever Foden is going through it may be personal and he's not ready to open up about it but I trust he'll overcome it and next season we'll be witnessing the 23/24 Foden again

  8. Hope Rodri stays but needs to get back to balloon dor performances first . Could go either way ! Foden is absolute quality but not performing – just think he has played since he was 9/10 and won everything you can and now a bit jaded , worn down by English football constant two games a week , trying to get “ up” for endless games is hard to do . Give him a year off and see where he is then – maybe he’s a burnout but you have to do everything you can to see if it’s still in there .
