Newcastle United CEO David Hopkinson on Eddie Howe: “I don’t have a stance on his future. What I can tell you is that the derby loss hurt. We take it seriously. “I spent a couple of hours in a one-on-one lunch recently with Eddie, and we talked through a multitude of things, including that.”

I don’t read these as positive/negative, I view them as Hopkinson being extremely non-commital, so in the future he’s not held to comments made in the past.
I am not Howe out (careful what you wish for). But if the club decide to move on, I’d love it to make a play for Glasner.
If they sack him they are idiots.
Fair answer.
Seasons been abysmal by our previous standards with less players (due to injury and psr). Isak situation hurt us.
Think if we finish top 7/8 he stays but anything below that will either see him off or first few games of next season will be huge for him
All boils down to the remaining games really.
Either way, whoever is in charge is going to have a lot of rebuilding work to do.
same guy was licking howe’s bum a few weeks ago, complete non-story, just trying to get him to say anything so it can be twisted
As fans we naturally have very strong reactions to results like the Sunderland game, it’s obviously right that he should be more reserved and probably withhold final judgment for now. Even if they were dead set on sacking Howe it still makes most sense to do it in the summer and not really comment at this stage. But agree with the general consensus that if we were to win most of our remaining games and finish in a good position qualifying for Europe, then Howe has earned another season
When did we sell St James park to a company attached to ourselves?
“I expect to have a great run to the end of the season here ” – Just like he expected us to beat City in the away leg of the semifinal, and expects us to “Be #1” in four years.
You can hope, sure, but there’s literally no evidence to expect a good run to the end of the season, we just got beat by our biggest rivals in a must-win game.
If every game between now and the end of the season is equally a “must-win”, I have little hope, I must admit.
Howe needs a rocket up his arse (in the best most positive way).
This season is a wash, qualifying for Europe should be a priority – but not the end of the world if we don’t get it.
I feel Howe needs an upgrade on coaches around him and to be removed from being so involved in transfers.
Let him focus on team prep and helping identify the right type of players.
