Levy has considered suing his former business partner after being unceremoniously thrown out of the club he ran, according to people familiar with the matter.
Levy also believes he owns more of the investment company that’s a majority shareholder in Tottenham to reflect the work he’s done at the club, the people said. They asked not to be named when speaking about internal matters.
Meanwhile, the volatile cocktail of boardroom infighting and the looming financial hit relegation would bring threatens to severely deter potential buyers. Investors looking at Spurs are no longer just evaluating a football club, but risk walking into a complex civil war over shares, accounting reviews and intertwined family trusts, according to people who have worked directly with Levy, Lewis and the club.
In July 2025, the Lewis Family Trust suggested a capital raise for ENIC to fund new player acquisitions. The proposal was based on a £1.4 billion valuation, which is significantly lower than the approximately £3.5 billion valuation (including about £1 billion in debt) assigned to the club by analysts like Football Benchmark.
Levy was not able to take part in the investment, but was offered the chance to invest at a later date in order not to be diluted, according to people familiar with the transaction. Lewis had also been trying to sell Spurs for a number of years, but Levy was reluctant to part ways with the club that defined him, according to people familiar with the situation.
The Premier League’s longest serving chairman and for many the real owner of the club, Levy led sale negotiations over the past few years. Various potential suitors included sovereign wealth funds and major US investors.
However, he often scuttled the talks, according to people familiar with the matter, by inflating the asking price during the process. Furthermore, Levy demanded to remain as an adviser in any resulting deal, with a substantial stipend.
After Levy was fired from Spurs, the Lewis Family Trust also started an accounting review into whether player and commercial contracts and payments were fairly valued. In the months after his shock ousting, Levy hired law firm Proskauer to assess potential litigation against ENIC, according to the people familiar with the matter.
A complicating factor is Levy’s claim to an additional stake in ENIC. According to the Spurs website, Levy and his family ultimately own 29.88% of ENIC. However, Levy believes he has a claim to a further 10% or so in Spurs. These shares are said to be owned by the Lewis Trust, but the ultimate beneficiaries are the Levy family, according to a person familiar with the matter.
If Levy eventually gets the shares, it would place him over the 30% threshold and trigger a mandatory, all-cash offer for the rest of ENIC. The same could apply to any buyer of Levy’s stake. A consortium fronted by Hong Kong businessman Ng Wing Fai has been discussing buying Levy’s stake, with Levy seeking a valuation of around £1 billion, according to people familiar with the matter.

So we’ve got that going for us, which is nice.
Oh, that’s nasty work.

Levy was making his bones when Nick Beucher was going out with cheerleaders.
Just sell the club and fuck off already

Levy ain’t got the juice to make that offer. But if this is really what his aim is then he must have wealthy backers. Might be our most realistic escape from the Lewis Family
Good to have it confirmed that all of the Lewis’s talk of wanting to invest in the club and not having plans to sell was bullshit
Hahaha at least this guy was consistent. He messed up negotiations for the club the same way he messed up transfer negotiations for players. He was definitely better than the alternative though.
I’d actually rather have Levy buy the club than the clown show we have now. He’s not perfect but he’s a good organizer and he cares about it.
I suspect it’s beyond his reach though.
So. Joe and Daniel made a deal and bought the club through ENIC. Daniel both did a great job, but also hampered a resell. Then we finally won something and the Lewis kids wanted a part of that cake, and kicked Daniel out. Now Daniel wants his cut, and might force a sale of the club to other investors?
It seems to me Daniel once again might be our man, getting the club out of the hands of the Lewis kids? In that case all for it.

Nice to see some fight in the club – maybe it’ll trickle down to the players and we don’t get relegated.
ENIC is/was the problem and Levy was the middleman in a shit position. Like he said in that Neville interview, he’ll be missed when he’s gone.
Don’t get me wrong, he’s made some shocking decisions, loads of them, so these aren’t (Danny) rose tinted glasses.
Bloke is proper Spurs and I for one hope he’s got some backers that’ll give him the stones to buy out those Lewis chunts.
What the fuck is this club & why is the championship going to be the backdrop for this very messy ownership & board dispute
You know, if it wasn’t happening to our club, this would be fucking hilarious. You couldn’t even imagine a television show playing out like it has.
We did the Amazon Prime documentary the wrong season

We love you Levy
Downvote away but what a fickle fan base. I always cringed at the Levy out movement, and now his words are starting to come true “they’ll only appreciate what I’ve done after I’ve left”
According to the people familiar with the matter…
Imagine if after all this it was Levy who put an end to this ownership. Crazy timeline

Complete shitshow
He made bad decision after bad decision.. but at least he cares about the club (and his investment). Can’t say the same for the clowns in charge right now
Well this is all just according to people familiar with the matter.
So… It’s a cock fight?
How do you know a Lewis is lying ??
His mouth is moving ! #EnicOut
Wish levy owned the club, he would do a better job
