  1. I call bullshit. Definitely better off with var, just have shit refs who still fuck up calls

Is it flawed, sure. However, most of them are looking at the past through Rose colored glasses. There have been so many egregious mistakes at the highest levels. Chalking it up to the human factor is BS. These are athletes who dedicate their whole life to being the best of the best. Losing championships should not be based on an oops.

The problem is that what fans are giving their view on is this version/implemenation of VAR. I don’t know why it can’t be like rugby union. The TV match official checks things in open play and lets the ref know if there’s been anything which needs to be checked before stopping play and causing delays. Also the laws for things like handball are bullshit, VARS not the reason.

The problem is that it doesn’t seem to get rid off mistakes – Just shifts them from the referee to someone sitting looking at a row of monitors and still somehow getting it wrong…

In the meantime, the spontaneity of celebrating goals is lost while everyone waits 5 mins.

So nothing really improved and a huge part of the enjoyment of watching live sport removed.

Var in of itself isn’t the issue, the issue is the absolute dullards using it.

  6. The survey is limited to PL and reason cited is the delay of making decisions. Will other leagues have the same result? Reason seems fair and solutions can be found. Although VAR should remain and kept in place.

  7. VAR is even worse in Scotland because they have like 2 cameras that are always at a shite position and resolution, the decisions take forever and they make so many mistakes.

  8. It not VAR its the people running VAR.
You have incompent judges who make up rules as they see fit.

Technology wasnt going to fix that problem.

Now it will go to refs making blantant mistakes and doing nothing about it… good process lads carry on
