Leicester City have statistically the easiest run-in in the whole of the Championship as they prepare for a dramatic climax to the campaign.

City’s bid for survival resumes at home to Preston on Friday as the final month of fixtures kicks off. And there are few excuses for Gary Rowett’s side, who have the best set of games in the division, at least mathematically.

Taking each remaining opponent’s points-per-game tally, either at home or on the road, City’s seven matches come against sides with an average of 1.13 points per game.

City still have to travel to Sheffield Wednesday, Portsmouth and Blackburn, all of whom have home records in the bottom four of the division.

England and Nike have launched the new home, away and goalkeeper kits to be worn at this summer’s FIFA World Cup.

They also welcome Swansea to the King Power Stadium, with the Welsh side in bottom three in an away-only table.

Their toughest games to come are at home to Hull and Millwall, who are not only in the promotion race, but are also handy on the road, with both teams ranked in the top four away from home.

Of course, the run-in is not played on paper, so while Portsmouth and Blackburn have struggled at home, the pressure of the matches being six-pointers in the battle for survival may see form go out of the window.

While City have statistically the simplest run-in, one of their rivals at the bottom is close behind, with West Brom’s remaining opponents averaging 1.22 points per game.

Of the five teams trying to avoid finishing in the final two relegation spots, Blackburn have the most difficult fixtures statistically, with their opponents averaging 1.45 points per game. Albeit, there are six teams around the division with a more difficult run-in.

Here’s a look at the five relegation battlers’ final month of fixtures.
