For everyone saying he's defensively poor, yes he is but there's ways around that. Don't play him against teams that have World class attackers on his side, or play a more defensively minded midfielder who can cover/support him.
There are times when England will need to open up teams and Trent is one of the best at that. Not taking him as an option at least is ridiculous.

Because he’s not a right back and he has midfielders. Real don’t have to defend much and the other defenders can do his job for him. Also I suspect he doesn’t like him around the squad, he doesn’t like Bellingham either but he is a quality midfielder.
