      Can’t really blame him tbh. It’s entirely possible that he wants to win with Chelsea, but also very likely he sees the state of the club more clearly than any of us do including the media. If he thinks that this ownership group haven’t got a clue, then why not leave? Just to say you were ‘loyal’ by staying on a sinking ship? Na. He puts in good performances and hasn’t run afoul of the fans. A player only has a few years at the top, if winning with Chels isn’t going to happen then the guy is entitled to think of his personal ambitions.

      On the other hand, he has a long contract so it’s going to be interesting to see what happens. If he doesn’t get sold, and if the sporting directors continue to insist that players sign super long term deals to play for Chels, is seeing Enzo stuck here going to turn potential transfer targets off from joint Chelsea?

      If we get a bid, sell him. Madrid comes calling? €100m he’s yours. Use that to buy Rogers and it’s a straight swap. Use leftover on CB and/or GK.
