[Matteo Moretto] At the top of Manchester United’s wishlist to bolster their midfield is Sandro Tonali. In the coming weeks, the true feasibility of the operation will become clear. Manchester City is also very attentive to the situation of the Italian footballer, valued at around 100 million.

If City goes for Tonali, that leaves us open to get Anderson. I’m fine with this either way, except maybe the price

£50/£60m – great, bring him in
Anywhere near £100m – hell no, look elsewhere.

Tonali is an explosive player to have in midfield, we generally lacked the swagger since years. I think last is Roy Keane, or am I missing someone? Herrera maybe?

  4. 100 mil for Sandro makes my gut feel funny for some reason. But considering our last summer window, I hope INEOS knows what they are doing. On paper he seems good, Italian international, played for Juve, plays well for barcode FC.

Would love it if we get someone for cheap as a bench option to add numbers because Ugarte makes me shit my pants now.

£100m seems way too high. INEOS at this stage have earned a bit of benefit of the doubt when it comes to transfers. They’ve done well. If they spend that much I’ll trust they see something there. I doubt they will pay that though

Great next recruitment to my Dream League Soccer team – after having already added Wharton, Anderson and Baleba 🙂‍↕️

  7. City getting Anderson and Tonali, and then them getting relegated from the 115 charges would be cinema

  8. Wtf city wants they already got reindeers and moving towards Anderson . Now they want Tonali I think media unnecessarily inflates the player’s price

  9. I like how we have many options, so even if city gets our target we still have others.

  10. Piss off is he worth 100m, unless your including his illegal gambling gains hidden in the caymans

Just tell any Man City target Pep’s gone and they’ll play in the Championship next season

Are we just going to ignore the fact that this is the 3rd post in recent days claiming that a different player is a top priority? All of them can’t be true so I will believe any of this when/if we see it materialise.

Let’s be clear about this… City doesn’t want Tonali. He doesn’t have the technical skillset that Pep values It’s either (a) Newcastle pushing this out, or (b) City peddling it – both for the same reason .. for United to have to end up paying more.

  14. United should have one target, regardless of the City rumours, and that’s Elliot Anderson.

I’d break the British record to sign him without a doubt.

I haven’t seen Tonali boss a game the way Anderson bosses nearly every game he plays and I can’t believe they’re being held in the same regard.

Baleba looks like a child compared to the two of them though, we should stay well away.

  15. If we can’t get him for maybe 80mil we should move on. We’ve seen what happens when you overpay and give huge wages. We’ve done it time and time again and it’s not worked once in the past 10 years (outside of maybe casemiro).
Just look at Isak. Huge transfer fee. Huge wages. Great talent. Doesn’t mean it’ll work. Plus injuries can happen.
