Milner’s also infamous for speaking several languages fluently, Spanish being one — which isn’t far removed from Portuguese. He probably did communicate quite closely with him.

  2. Milly sums up my feelings too perfectly. Jota was my favorite player as well, but I could never put my finger why. I simply liked watching him play the most. And yes, such a simple word sums it up perfectly. He was very clever on and off the ball, a real cunning fox.

Milly’s so genuine man, you’ll never get a remotely inauthentic moment from the man. You can tell all he wants to do is talk about how great Jota was, rather than the impact his passing had on him (which was obviously major).

one thing that stood out to me was jota’s positioning on corners. 5’10 and he was always scoring them.

I hope Milner comes back as a coach when he decides to retire playing in 10 years…

  6. I would recommend watching the full section. He talks about the impact on the squad and it felt so poignant.

  7. I was never not happy to see Jota on the team sheet…. You always knew he could make something happen from nothing. Really was a great player to watch.

  8. I truly hope he becomes a coach for us when he retires. Seems like he would be a terrific man manager and he gets the club. Miss him.

  9. It’s a bittersweet video for me personally.

It’s great to hear people talk about him in such a positive way but it’s still so sore to think about.

Even when you’re sat there at the game and all of a sudden you hear the song start up on 20 minutes you just think, god he should be still out there with the lot of them
