I think Basto will leave this summer

Fab just reported that there has already been discussions or contracts and salary for Basto. He doesn’t report on something this much unless it’s VERY serious because he usually ends up dropping the final here we go. This is also following a similar trend to when other big players leave clubs. And to the people that think this is a bid to get more money from us, maybe, but I’m gonna be honest, it feels like Basto just wants another chapter, for him and his family, especially after this Trial By Fire after the dive. For him to get the treatment he did, it was unacceptable. And he is a human and his body language and general vibes give the signs that his heart is not in it anymore and he’s mentally exhausted.

The ONLY thing that I think is holding this move is his family. As we know, his family and being close to it is everything to him and I am guessing this is the discussion that’s happening now to see if moving forward them would be feasible or whether visiting him in Spain could work too. I think Inter know this and are stepping up their pursuit of Solet to fill his role (rumours for him are heating up).

That’s my opinion and I can’t fault him for it, especially if we get a big fat payment and he doesn’t get sold for a stupid number. He has given everything for the badge. I’m hoping he stays obviously because there’s no way we replace him but let’s see!
