My mate is a Spurs fan, I’m an Arsenal fan… he’s always asking me all this dumb facebook-esque questions “would you want this if it meant that?” kind of shite

Every 2nd post on this sub is about Spurs and relegation. I understand its international break, but has the situation really changed so much in 1 week to warrant all these posts?
I am genuinely curious if Spurs being relegated will bring a larger global audience to the Championship. Obviously they bring their fans and audience, but will anybody else be tempted to follow that league to see how it goes for them? Maybe, it’s a good league.
I suspect though that they will be out of sight, out of mind.
I just hope and pray given the shite we’ve been through the last few years we go there on the last day and just sing our songs and our players songs! None of that “Going down” Shite.

A few weeks of hilarity, followed by the realisation that we’ll have to actually earn those 6 points next season
Their revenue is so high compared to every other side in the Championship, including the parachute payments that they would get, that they would have at least 2-3 seasons to bounce back up before the “shock” hits. As a Villa fan we were fortunate to get back up in a couple of seasons through the play-offs. My guess would be a similar story, they’re going to need a squad overhaul to deal with the demands of a physical Championship season with 46-50 games compared to 38, which may take some adjustment time. If they’re not up by the end of season 2 then they’ve got huge issues.
