Hope the fsg bit is false and getting the boot at end of season

That last one is going to cause some tension in this fan base.

I know this isn’t the point but if there’s a chance he doesn’t go to Saudi next I’m all for it. I do wish it wasn’t the US as the alternative though lol

The negativity going into next season is going to have such an impact.

Just for reference, the Slot bit at the end is not a “he is for sure staying” thing, it just says that they remain supportive of him, but that could change between now and the end of the season if there are more setbacks and if unrest in the fanbase continues

Is FSG support slot where is his new contract? Seems counterintuitive to me.

I still back slot. He’s been bent over a barrel with the injuries we’ve had and the massive underperformance of numerous first teamers.
Next season get new pacey direct right winger, Isak comes back in and hits form, new CB gets off to a good start, leoni comes back, kirkez and frimpong settled.
Im hopeful

The love affair never ended and never will, at least for the fans. The greatest Player most of us will see play for our club in our lives.

He’s leaving on a free?

He also says in the article that we’re liekly going to play a 4-2-2-2 next season with Isak and Ekitike up front and Szoboszlai and Wirtz behind.
This is how the squad going into next summer looks set up like that.
Where’s the contract then if they back him so much

The contrast to how his exit has been handled by him to that of Trent is striking

I think Slot is getting the dreaded vote of confidence. I don’t think he’s position is tenable anymore.

Man on 400 grand a week won’t accept sitting on the bench, or a paycut. Greedy twat.

FSG make me want to hurt myself I need to separate myself from this sport.

I guess the wages we get off the books was another incentive for them to allow the free transfer?

I’m going to lower the pitchfork for now.. I think FSG’s easing pressure on Slot for now. In theory he can still save his season (and his job) and that is by winning the UCL or qualify UCL next year AND win the FA Cup. Slot could also hit the minimum target of just qualifying for next year’s UCL and FSG would want that. I have a feeling FSG’s doing this because they know that Slot already lost the locker room and removing authority behind Slot (by not publicly saying they back him), means the players would down their already downed tools even more.
For now, this is the proverbial and dreaded “we have full confidence in him” message to Slot.
