  1. I cannot believe the lack of media literacy that people really thought the fucking Chelsea manager said

    > We have no intention of finishing in the top 4

Like godamn people….. engage critical thinking skills

ESPN UK lol absolute joke that they’re posting fake quotes now. What happened to the worldwide leader in sports.

Probably Matt Law was feeling ignored and decided to generate the news himself.

Excited for the groveling apology from ESPN UK… like surely any publication would do after mistakenly publishing a fake quote

Scary how people believe things that are so obviously fake. Getting all worked up over blatant rage bait. People must just want to be angry all the time 🤣

Ah yes ESPN, a totally reputable source of information, especially when it come to us.

Also pple nowadays believe in wtv fits their agenda and media literacy/critical thinking has been in the gutter for the past few years

They’re setting him up to add more pressure so that their favourite can take the top 4.

As Jose Mourinho once said, there’s a plot against Chelsea Football Club.

Not the first time ESPN has been debunked. Doesn’t happen often but it happens a lot more than it should for such a popular site

Someone probably just made a rosenior RAG and told it to talk like a LinkedIn post and interviewed that instead of him.

I figured it was, but its something people think he would say is bad enough

File this under “no shit.” ESPN is one of the absolute worst sources for anything football. The idea the manager would actually say this is fucking wild, regardless of how shit the club is atm.

  12. It doesn’t surprise me, but it’s pissing me off that they just delete that and don’t post an apology to the club, Rosenoir and most importantly their readers for sharing literal fake news.

Media literacy is in the gutter at media companies, too.

  13. When Maresca said something like that, fans got angry. Whoever fabricated these fake quotes were probably trying to destabilize the club that way

    Pretty shocking from ESPN.

I mean where did these fake quotes originate?

These quotes are semi-believable given that our club standards have fallen off a cliff.
