I think this is a very interesting statistic. Both Schlotti and Jobe are in the top 10 in line breaking passes per 90 min.
Goes to show how stats and visual on the pitch can completely differ. You would almost never assume with Jobe lack of forward passing that he would ever fall into a stat like this.

Sometimes it’s the quiet ones you have to watch. Jobe gets the work in
It’s his first year and he’s a starter after only half a year. The 35mil includes his potential too.
not sure what they consider a LBP and what the value score actually is supposed to represent. you break one line of defence to leave a team mate in a position with his back to the goal under pressure with the line you just broke closing in on him? Is that helpful? The 0.03 OBV says no I guess? Kimmich has the most in the box creating chances yet the value is not that high. The stat is explained as increasing chance to score – ofc not only box passes increase that chance but if you have way more of those that lead directly to shots / connections leading to shots the score should reflect that?
Idk – many soccer stats seem to try to explain what’s happening on the field in numbers but it’s really questionable and makes a lot of assumptions. For example, a sideways pass at an open teammate that does not progress the ball or break a line would be considered a zero advantage factor in this model yet sometimes playing the ball like that or even backwards into momentum runs etc is much better. The per 90 stats are also kinda pointless because your role and the team’s setup is going to heavily influence how many x of any action you take at any time. It also doesn’t seem to consider how many or how effectively you take players out with a pass because those ~10m short passes in your own third sure as hell don’t do that much.
