Aston Villa have confirmed they will spend the next three days in a training camp in Spain.

Unai Emery’s men will travel today and have confirmed players to play a friendly on Friday.

Villa will face Spanish outfit Elche on Friday, March 27 at the Pinatar Arena in Murcia. The game kicks-off at 11.30am local time. Eder Sarabia’s team is currently 17th in La Liga.

Obviously they make the trip without their international contigent, including Matty Cash who is away with Poland.

Victor Lindelöf and Leon Bailey are away with Sweden and Jamaica respectively, while Ezri Konsa and Morgan Rogers will join up with England. Youri Tielemans and Amadou Onana are in the USA with Belgium.

Lucas Digne has been called up by France, John McGinn will feature in a couple of home friendlies with Scotland and Emi Martinez is away with Argentina. Finally Lamare Bogarde is with The Netherlands Under-21s.

Villa have 18 days between matches, having beaten West Ham last time out, they are next in action on Thursday, April 9 when they play Bologna in the Europa League.

They then have seven Premier League matches left to put a finishing touch on what would be a superb achievement of qualifying for the Champions League.
