Why insist on this circus tent look. It looks ridiculous now. Let alone in the future.
Just do a Barcelona style renovation. Strip it back to a one tier bowl and build it up. Play at Wembley for 2 years (which will favour the majority of fans commutes anyway!!!)
Or even the Etihad now it’s just about big enough to accommodate their season ticket holders.

Spurs’ stadium took over 3 years to be fully complete from the first shovel in the ground. They owned the land it’s on as well.Â
United have a much larger and more complicated design, and still need to negotiate a deal to purchase and demolish the freight terminal where the new stadium will go.Â
6 years is doable, but I don’t think it’ll happen.Â
