100% the best outcome for us. Yes 14 mio is a lot, but roughly the same contract that Süle got.
60mio is not that much, but would still be the 12th most expensive defender ever. And I would rather have Schlotti now, plus 60 mio later than no Schlotti and 40 mio this summer.
Our rebuild would become so much easier this summer if this extension is happening.
We lost Özcan, Brandt, Süle and essentially Can. I hope that Reggianni will become a fixture in the squad.
Then Guirassy is probably gone, maybe Adeyemi and Sabitzer. And it wouldn’t surprise me if one of Ryerson or Svensson will leave aswell.
