PC Bradley Corke, 27, passed away on Saturday, March 21, following a serious collision while responding to an emergency call.

The crash happened on the A20 London Road in Farningham, near Swanley, on the previous Thursday evening.

In a statement, Kent Police said: “Bradley selflessly gave up his life while trying to save the lives of others who were in danger.

“His bravery, dedication, and passion for helping others will not be forgotten.”

The collision involved a marked Ford Focus police car and a Volkswagen Scirocco at the junction with Button Street.

A second officer who was in the patrol car remains in a critical condition in hospital.

A member of the public from the second vehicle is also undergoing treatment for serious injuries sustained in the crash.

Kent Police held a two-minute silence in PC Corke’s honour on Monday, March 23.

The force confirmed that PC Corke had served with Kent Police since 2022 and was based in Tonbridge.

Neil Mennie, chairman of Kent Police Federation, said: “This sad incident serves as a horrific example of the risks police officers face.

“Bradley was a popular colleague who will be much missed.”

Away from his police work, the officer was a devoted Brighton and Hove Albion supporter who followed the team across the country.

His brother, Nathan Corke, shared a heartfelt tribute on social media where he described Bradley as his hero.

Nathan said: “He was a beloved Brighton fan. We had season tickets for 14 years, and we went to most away games too.”

Brighton and Hove Albion responded to the message, writing: “We are so sorry for your loss, Nathan. Everyone at the Albion is thinking of you and your family at this difficult time.”

Investigators are now urging any witnesses or people with relevant footage of the incident to contact the force.
