C3IA, based in Poole, Dorset, delivers expertise in cyber security, systems engineering, and information assurance, supporting defence, government, and private sector clients.
The company was founded on March 17, 2006 by former Royal Signals officers Keith Parsons and Matthew ‘Bod’ Horan, starting as a specialist consultancy focused on critical information and communication systems.

Steve Brown, managing director of C3IA, said: “Over the past twenty years the technology, threats and operating environments around us have changed dramatically.
“What has remained constant is the ethos that underpins how we work.
“C3IA was founded on the belief that expertise must be matched with integrity, transparency and a genuine commitment to supporting our clients and the wider public interest.
“Those values continue to guide every decision we make.
“As we look ahead, our focus remains on sustainable growth and ensuring we continue to evolve alongside the technologies and security challenges our clients face.”
The company has grown to more than 80 permanent staff and works with a similar number of specialist associates.
With its headquarters in Poole and a satellite presence at the Business Cyber Centre in Chippenham, C3IA serves organisations operating in complex and security-critical environments.
The consultancy has also maintained strong ties to the Armed Forces community.
Many team members are veterans, reservists, or military spouses, and the business first signed the Armed Forces Covenant in 2016.
It has since reaffirmed its commitment and received the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award for outstanding support to the Armed Forces community.
C3IA has achieved several key milestones over its two decades, including internationally recognised quality and security certifications and early recognition as a provider of assured cyber security services by the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre.
Looking ahead, the company plans to continue expanding its expertise while remaining committed to the core principles established by its founders.
C3IA says its ongoing mission is to help organisations design, deliver, and assure systems that are secure, resilient, and capable of meeting the demands of an increasingly connected and contested digital world.
